March 2012 marks the second anniversary of the Citrus Heights young professionals group that call themselves….

Elevate! This group of go-getters partnered up with The Couch Sports Lounge in Citrus Heights to put on a birthday bash to remember. This highly attended event featured networking, finger-foods, T-Shirts and a raffle prize weekend getaway to The Cobblestone Inn bed and breakfast in beautiful Carmel.

As if the trip wasn’t enough to create a buzz, Elevate also featured some signature cocktails created by The Couch especially for the birthday bash. Lots of laughter filled the room and excitement began to build up as the winning raffle ticket of the Carmel trip was drawn. Elevate council members were impressed with the overwhelming amount of support and the much welcomed turnout that exceeded their goal. The winning cocktail for the Elevate signature drink was a concoction called High Class. Make sure to ask one of the council members for the delicious recipe at their next event.

The Elevate Young Professional’s second annual no-cost Health and Wellness event was hosted by California Family Fitness in the heart of Citrus Heights. Despite the rainy Thursday evening weather the gym was jam-packed with lots of motivated people. All of the action took place in a private reserved area on the basketball court provided by the General Manger of California Family Fitness. Owner of Complete Health, Peter Fuller, lead the group in a variety of creative stretching and demonstrated to the crowd how Bowen Therapy works. Elevate council member Mike Willis volunteered for the demonstration.

Similar to last year’s Health and Wellness event Peter taught the crowd how Bowen Therapy is performed. After the demo the crowd broke off into smaller groups for one-on-one training circuits with Personal Trainers provided by California Family Fitness.  The group got their hearts racing in a quick 30 minute routine. After all of the hard work was done, Elevate helped replenish the attendees with a delicious selection of Beach Hut Deli Sandwiches and power drinks.

Elevate President Shay Wheat announced one lucky raffle winner who went home with a Gift Card to Complete Health and Fitness for a free Bowen Therapy service. Those that were interested in joining California Family Fitness were given an awesome sign-up deal along with a discounted monthly membership for participating.
